‘As Marc Marquez is not here, Honda gave me the chassis he has been using’ – Alex Rins

Still searching for his best feelings on the Honda RC213V, Alex Rins has another opportunity this weekend to show what he is made of. He will still have a new chassis to try out due to Marc Márquez’s absence, which promises to add a layer of stress to the existing one.

‘I am very excited to start because Honda has been fast at this track and because I have always done a good job here with Suzuki, although things change every year. This year everything can happen the other way around…we’ll see,’ said the Spaniard at the press preview on Thursday, where Motorcycle Sports was not absent:

– I have new parts to test for the race, as Marc [Marquez] is not here, Honda gave me the chassis he has been using. We’ll see how it goes as we don’t have much time to test it and the weather conditions are not great. It will be important to have a good plan for Friday and try out what’s new on Saturday morning. It will be my first time with this chassis; what we will do is, more or less, have a bike like the one in Portimão and another with the new chassis. We will jump from one bike to the other to test the new one, […].
